Fall Leaf Pickup 2016
The City of Platteville Street Department will began fall leaf pick-up and will continue to cycle the city until weather makes it impossible to do so. Residents must have the leaves raked to the curb and not in the gutter. Please remember to remove any brush from your leaves as it is collected separately.
Any yard waste accumulated after that date will need to be placed in City of Platteville dollar bags.
Questions may be directed to the City of Platteville Street Department at 608-348-8828.
Brush/Limb Wood Chipping and Yard Waste 2016
The wood chipper will cycle the City of Platteville the week of the first and third Monday of the month. It is imperative to have your brush/limbs out early because once the chipper has gone, it will not return until the next scheduled week.
The wood chipper can take limbs up to 12 inches in diameter and a length that requires no more than two people to pull it from the curb to the chipper.
Please place brush and limbs at the curb with the cut end toward the curb and stacked in a neat and orderly fashion.
Yard waste is to be placed in the $1.00 Platteville bags and laid at the curb for pick-up on Thursdays.
If you have questions, please call the Department of Public Works at (608) 348-9741, ext. 2238.
