Monday – Thursday   7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday   7 a.m. – 3:30 a.m.
Saturday   2 p.m. – 3:30 a.m.
No Sunday Service

Bus Fares:
• $1 per ride
• UW-P Students, no charge with Student ID
• Monthly pass $25/month or buy 2 months and get the 3rd month free

Monthly passes are available for purchase at:

• Public Library
• UW-Platteville Student Center Information Desk
• Piggly Wiggly Customer Service Counter

If planning to ride, please stand next to the Bus Stop.  Busses will arrive within six minutes of scheduled arrival.

The service is open to ALL citizens.

Hours of Operation and Fares as of January 1, 2015:
• 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday – Wednesday
• 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Thursday – Saturday
• 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday

Fares within City Limits:
• $2.75 for regular passengers
• $2.50 for seniors over the age of 65, handicapped persons and children of high school age or below.
• $1.00 for additional riders to same location within the City Limits.

Fares outside of the City Limits:
• $2.00 per mile above and beyond the appropriate base rate.
• Rides must either begin or end within the City Limits

**Fares for intermediate stops (ATM, etc.) will be $1.00 per stop.**

Platteville Transit System will not operate on the following holidays:
• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• July 4th
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas

The Platteville Transit System subsidizes the cab operator with Federal, State and City funding for about 75 – 80 percent of the expenses. Fares cover the remaining 20 – 25 percent. The Director of Public Works is the link between Running, Inc. and all government programs.

Turnout for Transportation Meeting Scheduled for September 29th | Sep 26, 2016
Members of local government, business leaders and the public are invited to a Turnout for Transportation meeting which will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Youth and Agriculture Building, 916 E. Elm St. in Lancaster. The goal of this event is to bring attention to critical projects and services in each region and the need for the state to find a sustainable solution to Wisconsin's transportation challenge. Platteville Public Transportation Bus Service Begins Today! | May 18, 2015
PLATTEVILLE, WI (May 18, 2015) – The Platteville Public Transportation Bus Service goes into effect May 18th, beginning with a summer schedule.  The Summer Bus Schedule will run from May 18th through August 27th, with hours of operation from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Extended hours will begin in September.   The cost to ride the bus is $1.00 per ride, cash and exact change only.  UW-Platteville Students may ride with no charge by showing their student ID.  Monthly passes, which allow unlimited rides, are available for $25.00 per month, or buy two months and get the third…
