Broadway Street Update: The contractor is putting in water between Broadway and May Streets therefore, today and tomorrow residents should use the following access routes. Residents on Maple Drive should use the Madison Street route. Residents west of Broadway on Grant, Linden, & Heer Streets should use the Grant to Lincoln to Madison Street route. Thank you.

Residents who live in the Maple Drive neighborhood, please do not use Madison Street at this time as the City’s contractor is installing sanitary sewer. Instead, please access your neighborhood via Grant/May/Lutjen/E. Mineral Streets. This should only be for a few days and we will let you know when you can resume using Madison Street. This will not affect bus routes. The City’s contractor is to leave the intersection of Madison and Broadway open to one-lane of traffic at all times.

Work on Broadway is progressing smoothly. Currently there is a crew working on sanitary sewer. This crew has completed sanitary sewer main installation from Grant Street & May Street, up to Broadway and they are currently working south on Broadway. There is another crew working on storm sewer on Madison Street by Moundview Park. Tomorrow another crew will begin work on sanitary sewer from the Grant & Broadway intersection to the north. Broadway Street Construction Starting Soon | Apr 01, 2014
The contractor has installed barricades on Broadway Street in anticipation of starting construction soon. You will see more equipment and materials being placed on the job-site over the next couple of days. Later this week, the contractor may begin removing some pavement surface only. Actual digging is scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2014. If you do not live on the streets affected, or have business on those streets, please avoid the work zone if possible.
