If you haven't been by the library block, you should go check it out! There is a lot of progress on the building. There may be additional closures on Main, Elm and Pine Streets to disconnect water lines at the water main for the old buildings. Work is progressing on roofing the Library and installing steel wall studs.

A little rain won't stop this project! A new sign was added at the intersection of Pine Street and Main Street showing how much money has been raised for furnishings in the new Library. Check it out soon! Lane Closures on Chestnut have been consolidated to two days and may be moved up to Wednesday or Thursday, August 24 and 25. There may be additional closures on Main Street, Elm Street, and Pine Street to disconnect water lines at the water main for the old buildings. Work is progressing on back filling along Chestnut and roofing on the library portion.

Richard Street: All work is complete! Furnace Street: Underground and concrete work is complete. Paving is scheduled for Wednesday August 17 – weather dependent. Final landscaping will be after that. Bonson Street: Everything is complete except final landscaping! Short Street: The contractor is continuing work on underground utilities and will begin street excavation after that. Cedar Street: Work has begun on sanitary sewer starting at Water Street and continuing west.

Although there has been rain this week, the library block is coming together! Lane closures on Chestnut have been consolidated to 2 days and are tentatively scheduled for August 25 and 26. There may be additional closures on Main, Elm and Pine to disconnect water lines at the water main for the old buildings. Steel studs will be going up on the Library portion next week.
