Library Block Project Update 9-27-2016 | Sep 27, 2016
Work is progressing on roofing the Library, installing steel wall studs and getting it closed in. Contractors are working to have the surface parking lot ready and the first layer of blacktop paved this fall. The weather has been a hindrance to progress this past week. NCI is reviewing the schedule to see if the extensive rains have impacted the overall schedule.

There may be additional closures on Main, Elm and Pine Streets to disconnect water lines at the water main for the old buildings. A little rain won't stop this project! A new sign was added at the intersection of Pine Street and Main Street showing how much money has been raised for furnishings in the new Library. Check it out soon! Lane Closures on Chestnut have been consolidated to two days and may be moved up to Wednesday or Thursday, August 24 and 25. There may be additional closures on Main Street, Elm Street, and Pine Street to disconnect water lines at the water main for the old buildings. Work is progressing on back filling along Chestnut and roofing on the library portion.
Street Construction Updates 8-15-2016 | Aug 15, 2016
Richard Street: All work is complete! Furnace Street: Underground and concrete work is complete. Paving is scheduled for Wednesday August 17 – weather dependent. Final landscaping will be after that. Bonson Street: Everything is complete except final landscaping! Short Street: The contractor is continuing work on underground utilities and will begin street excavation after that. Cedar Street: Work has begun on sanitary sewer starting at Water Street and continuing west.
