| NOTICE TO TENANTS OF DARREL L. KALLEMBACH
On November 8, 2010, the City of Platteville commenced an action against Darrel L. Kallembach based upon violations of the City’s Rental Code. On October 31, 2011, the Court entered a Final Judgment in the case, determining that Mr. Kallembach was in violation of the Rental Code with respect to the following properties located in the City of Platteville, Grant County, Wisconsin:

The Final Judgment established certain deadlines by which Mr. Kallembach was to obtain an inspection of these properties, provide the City with copies of existing lease agreements and take other specified action. Mr. Kallembach failed to comply with the Final Order and was found in contempt of Court on January 10, 2012.
The Order Regarding Remedial Contempt entered on January 10, 2012 requires Mr. Kallembach to fully comply with the terms of the Final Order by May 1, 2012 and further provides "that each of the 21 Kallembach rental properties shall be vacated by June 1, 2012 if Defendant (Darrel L. Kallembach) has not fully complied with the Final Order, dated October 31, 2011, by May 1, 2012." Persons intending to reside in any of the properties set forth above on or after June 1, 2012, should be advised of the terms of the Final Order and Order Regarding Remedial Contempt, which may be viewed at www.platteville.org. or copies obtained by contacting Ric Riniker, Platteville Building Inspector, at (608) 348-9741, Ext. 2236.

Planning & Zoning
The Planning and Zoning division is responsible for administering the zoning, subdivision and floodplain zoning ordinances in the City of Platteville, and cooperatively administers these activities in the surrounding Extraterritorial area with the Town of Platteville. Responsibilities also include providing long-range planning activities through the Comprehensive Plan and Official Map.

Building & Rental Inspection
The Building Inspection Department provides inspection services for new construction and remodeling of buildings in the City of Platteville, and some inspection in the surrounding Extraterrritorial Area. The department also enforces the erosion control ordinance and the property maintenance standards.
The Rental Inspection division licenses and inspects all rental housing units in the City of Platteville.

Historic Preservation
Through the Historic Preservation Commission, the City of Platteville administers regulations concerning the exterior modification of properties that have been designated as locally historic. The Commission also provides various educational programs that are intended to provide guidance and assistance with property owners that are interested in preserving and rehabiltating their historic properties.

Housing Assistance
The Platteville Housing Division administers the Community Development Rehabilitation Programs and the Platteville Housing Authority Rental Assistance Programs.
The Community Development Programs are designed to improve living conditions for Platteville’s low and moderate-income residents. Funds are provided by the Community Development Revolving Loan Fund. The programs are regulated by the State Department of Commerce, Bureau of Housing.
The Housing Authority Programs are regulated by the Federal Government and are designed to give eligible families freedom-of-choice in finding an existing, decent, safe and sanitary rental unit under rent guidelines established by the Federal Government.

| Redevelopment Authority (RDA)

Redevelopment Authority
The Redevelopment Authority was formed by resolution of the Common Council on June 14, 2005. The RDA later formed Redevelopment Area #1, which was created in conjunction with TID #7 for the downtown area. The purpose of forming these areas is to improve the physical and economic condition of the downtown area. The RDA provides financial assistance that encourages downtown building owners to fix up their buildings and properties.
