Platteville EMS
Platteville Emergeny Medical Service (EMS) is currently an EMT-Intermediate Technician level service provider. Platteville EMS provides emergency medical care to the residents and visitors of the City of Platteville and the Towns of Ellenboro, Lima, Belmont, Elk Grove, Smelser, Platteville and Harrison. Platteville EMS is currently staffed with a full-time Administrator, a part-time Assistant Administrator (both EMTs), a Medical Director and 24 EMTs. At any time the EMTs of Platteville EMS are available and ready to respond to an emergency or non-emergency call. Platteville EMS EMTs are usually on-call for 12 hour shifts (6a-6p or 6p-6a) and must be within our response limits (4 minutes) while on call.
The next EMT class will begin in January of 2012 and are scheduled to be held in Richland Center. Classes are held 2 nights per week and are instructed by staff from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College.
