Hours of Operation As of January 2, 2010:
- 6 AM to 10 PM Monday - Saturday and 7 AM to 1 PM on Sunday
- Fares: $2.00 for first rider - within City Limits
- $0.50 for additional riders to same location within the City Limits
The Shared Ride Taxi program subsidizes the cab operator with Federal, State and City funding for about 75 - 80% of the expenses. Fares cover the remaining 20 - 25%. The Director of Public Works is the link between Top Hat, Inc. and all Government programs.

New TAXI Service
The City of Platteville has a new Shared Ride Taxi service. The provider is Top Hat, Inc. They have a local office at 1250 E. Business Hwy 151, Suite I and the phone number for requesting rides is 348-6767. This service will go into effect on January 2, 2010. As in previous years, the service will NOT operate on New Year’s Day. Please call the new number for Taxi Service in the new year. Fares will remain the same - $2.00 for the first rider and $0.50 for each additional passenger going to/from the same location. The service is open to ALL citizens. Service Hours will be the same as before – Monday – Saturday 6 AM to 10 PM and on Sunday from 7 AM to 1 PM
