The City of Platteville, Street Department, is seeking applicants for a full time equipment operator position. Job includes operating a variety of construction equipment and trucks utilized in construction, maintenance, and repair activities; performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of lights, storm drainage systems, streets, including snow plowing. Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin CDL drivers license with b,c,d endorsements. This position is subject to DOT Drug & Alcohol Program requirements. Starting wage is $18.32. Position is represented by Local 823, AFSCME, AFL-CIO. Residency requirements require living within a 15 mile radius of the Platteville City Hall, including anywhere within the city limits of Lancaster.
