Hap and Barb Daus Donate $5,000 To New Platteville Fire Facility Project
Thank you, Hap and Barb Daus for your $5,000 donation to the New Platteville Fire Facility project!
Hap and Barb have lived in Platteville since 1987. They returned to Platteville (both are UWP graduates, neither grew up in Southwest Wisconsin) when Barb took an administrative job in advancement at UWP. The Daus' proudly claim Platteville as their 'home.' Both Hap and Barb have been active in local civic organizations and are supporters of the greater Southwest Wisconsin community as well as the Platteville Public Schools, UW-Platteville, Southwest Health and Southwest Tech.
The Daus' commented, "We know that our volunteer firefighters are ready to help us everyday of the week, anytime of the day. We truly appreciate their selfless service. It's time for all of us to step-up and serve these men and women. Our volunteers need improved turnout space and decontamination facilities. We can help achieve that with our investment in and support of this fire facility project. We have toured our current station and have seen its limitations. If you have doubts about NEED, we encourage you to make a visit. We firmly believe you will join us in making a gift once you see and understand the current constraints."
