To reserve a campsite, you must obtain an Activenet account. Don't have an ActiveNet account? Click Here to create one. Your ActiveNet account needs to be reviewed and accepted by our staff to schedule a campsite. We recommend creating an ActiveNet account a week or two ahead of time OR during our business hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm). This is the quickest way to be accepted into our system to start reserving.

Once your account is accepted, you may reserve a campsite by calling our Park and Recreation office at (608) 348-9741 ext. 2238, 2245. This is the quickest, most convenient, method of reservation. Our office hours are (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

If it is after office hours and you have an activenet account, you may leave your payment in the dropbox located in the center door of the restrooms.

Park Information
Approximately half of Mound View Park remains natural vegetation and woodland that serves an attractive greenway for the city.  A section of the Rountree Branch flows through the natural area.   Additionally, a section of the park was once a part of the Homestead Mine.  Information about local mining history is available at the nearby Mining Museum.

Much of the park can be accessed via a trail system which includes both wilderness and paved trails open to bike and pedestrian traffic.  On leash pets are permitted in the park, trails and campground.

One of the most popular amenities in Mound View Park is an 15-site campground. All sites are available for both tents and RVs with water and electric hookups.  Restroom and shower facilities are also available onsite.
