City of Platteville Winter Weather Updates For Tuesday, January 9, 2024

Common Council
The Tuesday, January 9, 2024, City of Platteville Common Council meeting has been canceled due to inclement weather.

All agenda items are anticipated to be postponed until the Tuesday, January 23 meeting.

Snow Plowing
With the continuous snow, crews are focusing on emergency routes and are working on side streets when they can. If there is an emergency, Police Dispatch has been directed to notify the crews to ensure emergency vehicles can reach the affected area.

Transportation
Due to the inclement weather, the Platteville Public Transportation Bus Service has been suspended. Taxi is running limited service to workplaces and hospital.

Library
The Platteville Public Library will close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9 for the safety of our patrons and staff.
• Minecraft Architecture will be rescheduled to a later date.
• Genealogy Table is cancelled for January.

Senior Center
Senior Center of Platteville is Closed on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
• Color, Sketch, and Coffee is cancelled.

Winter Parking
IF POSSIBLE: Please avoid parking in the streets all day Tuesday, January 9 and the morning of Wednesday, January 10. Due the amount of snow forecasted, this will help Street Crews with the plowing process. We do understand that this is not a possibility for everyone.
