I’m Lynne Parrott, a native of Chicago, Illinois where I was a Youth Pastor, a playwright, and a community organizer. My family became residents of Platteville in the spring of 2017.  By the summer of 2017, I was hosting Bible studies from my home which opened a door for me to become Pastor Lynne of Bread of Life Church. That opportunity afforded me the chance to engage in the community. I was invited to be a Board Member with Family Advocates in 2018 and began to understand my purpose for the relocation. I love being an advocate for those who feel they have no voice. I want to help unlock the potential of others by building more bridges and closing gaps. I love empowering others and be a change influencer. Pursing a seat on the Common Council was the step I knew I had to make if I wanted to be a more effective advocate. My goal, as a member of the Council, is to help create protocol and policies on the issue of diversity and inclusion throughout Platteville.
