Platteville City Council Confirms Clinton Langreck as City Manager

PLATTEVILLE, WI (March 15, 2023) – The Platteville Common Council has confirmed the employment of Clinton Langreck as City Manager, he will join the City on May 1, 2023.

Council president Barbara Daus noted, “Clint has the skills and experience to provide the leadership that will help Platteville continue its progress as a city that has the amenities of a much larger community, while maintaining a small town feel. Clint has shown a commitment to Southwest Wisconsin through his service in Green County and as the inaugural County Administrator in Richland County. The council noted Clint's strengths in communication and listening, relationship building, budget development and thoughtful change management."

In speaking about his new position, Langreck said, “I am absolutely honored to be joining Team Platteville. It will be a privilege to learn from, and lead, such an accomplished staff in the mission of achieving the goals of the council and community.”

Public Administration Associates, Whitewater, assisted the city in its search. Nineteen candidates applied for the position. The council met twice to narrow the field, bringing three candidates to Platteville for a 2-day interview process earlier this month.
