Joint ET Zoning Committee

The Joint Extraterritorial Committee consists of three (3) members of the City Council, and the three (3) members from the Town Board. The Joint ET Committee was established to help manage and coordinate land use activity in the Extraterritorial Zoning Area and Extraterritorial Plat Review Area of the City of Platteville.

The Committee is responsible for establishing the standards and procedures for review and action on proposed land use actions, land development and other related matters that pertain to planning and development in the ET areas. The overall purpose is to guide and accomplish a coordinated, adjusted, and harmonious development of the ET territory which will, in accordance with existing and future needs, best promote public health, safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity or the general welfare, as well as efficiency and economy in the process of development.

The Committee meets the 4th Monday of each month (if necessary) at 7:00pm in Council Chambers.
