Redevelopment Authority (RDA)

The Redevelopment Authority was formed by resolution of the Common Council on June 14, 2005.  The RDA later formed Redevelopment Area #1, which was created in conjunction with TID #7 for the downtown area.  The purpose of forming these areas is to improve the physical and economic condition of the downtown area.  The RDA provides financial assistance that encourages downtown building owners to fix up their buildings and properties.

The Redevelopment Authority Board meets the 4th Monday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Mound City Bank Motor Branch.

The Zoning Board of Appeals shall consist of seven members (one Alderperson); all members shall be residents of the City. The members shall be appointed by the President of the Common Council, subject to confirmation of the Common Council. The members shall be appointed for terms of five years.
