Parks, Forestry, & Recreation Committee

Effective 1/29/2012, the Park Board was changed to a committee formation (Parks, Forestry, and Recreation Committee). The Committee’s purpose is to develop and maintain a well-coordinated system of parks and forestry within the City of Platteville and to develop and implement meaningful recreational activities for the citizens of the community.

The Parks, Forestry, and Recreation Committee meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the Police Department Community Room.

The Parks, Forestry, and Recreation Committee shall consist of seven members; all members shall be residents of the city. The members shall be appointed by the President of the Common Council, subject to confirmation of the Common Council. The members shall be appointed for terms of three years.
