Aerobatic Pilots Test Their Skills At The Robert L. Heuer Aerobatic Contest In Platteville July 19-20
*Times will likely be adjusted due to weather.
Chapter 1 of the International Aerobatic Club (IAC) will be conducting its Robert L. Heuer Classic Contest at the Platteville Municipal Airport on July 19-20, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM each day. The airport is located at 5157 Highway 80 South, Platteville, Wisconsin 53818.
IAC pilots compete at different aerobatic skill levels. Some of the best aerobatic pilots in the nation will be flying their airplanes in loops, rolls, dives, stalls and turns. Each flight is thoroughly planned to ensure the highest levels of safety while testing the abilities of both pilot and airplane.
The public can attend the contest as observers at no cost.
This contest is sanctioned by the International Aerobatic Club (IAC), a division of the Experimental Aircraft Association, and also a division of the National Aeronautic Association. It is responsible for the administration, management, and promotion of the sport of aerobatics in the United States under the applicable regulations of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale in Lausanne, Switzerland. FAI is the world governing body for all sport aviation competitions and record attempts. IAC represents the United States at meetings of the FAI Aerobatics Commission (CIVA) which establishes rules worldwide for aerobatic competitions.
