REAL ESTATE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES
City of Platteville is no longer accepting payments for 2023 Real Estate Property Taxes
LATE payments and 2nd Installments (due July 31, 2024) shall be paid to the Grant County Treasurer at: 111 S Jefferson St, PO Box 430, Lancaster, WI 53813.
All Personal Property Taxes shall be paid to the City of Platteville.
The Treasurer/Finance Office is responsible for the financial management of the City. Some of the specific responsibilities of this department include:
- Processing of City payroll and City bills;
- Collection of City revenues;
- Compliance with State and Federal reports;
- Collection of Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes;
- Selling of recycling bins and garbage bags;
- Assembling of the City budget;
- Processing of City insurance claims;
- Pursuit of collection of delinquent Personal Property taxes;
- Preparation and collection of special assessments;
- Maintenance of Greenwood and Hillside Cemetery records;
- Answering questions and requests from the public and the City departments.
