Platteville serves as the retail and service hub for Southwest Wisconsin and is home to several national retailers, including Walmart, Menards, Aldi and Ashley Furniture.  Platteville is poised for retail growth with a trade area of over 77,475.  The Platteville Industrial Development Corporation or city staff can assist with retail opportunities along the Business Highway 151 Corridor.

The Platteville Business Incubator can help with the launch of a new business. Incubator tenants get the support of business expert coaches, become part of a like-minded entrepreneurial community and benefit from below market rate rent.  Businesses may stay at the Platteville Business Incubator for 3-5 years, although some companies graduate sooner.
