Redevelopment Authority
The Redevelopment Authority (RDA) was formed by resolution of the Common Council on June 14, 2005. The RDA later formed Redevelopment Area #1, which was created in conjunction with TID #7 for the downtown area. The purpose of forming these areas is to improve the physical and economic condition of the downtown area. The RDA provides financial assistance that encourages downtown building owners to make improvements to their buildings while maintaining their historic charm. The assistance is provided through two programs: a revolving loan fund and a curb appeal grant.
