Development and Zoning Approvals

The Planning and Zoning Division is responsible for administering the zoning, subdivision and floodplain zoning ordinances in the City of Platteville, and cooperatively administers these activities in the surrounding Extraterritorial area with the Town of Platteville.  Responsibilities also include providing long-range planning activities through the Comprehensive Plan and Official Map. 

The enforcement of the City's development ordinances is done in cooperation with several Board and Commissions.
