Welcome to the Broske Center

The Broske (Br-AH-ski) Center is the perfect destination venue for family gatherings, graduation parties, birthday parties, holiday parties, corporate retreats, and weddings. Opened in 2020, the Broske Center has been designed in a barn style to honor the agriculture roots of the surrounding community. The facility features two event halls which are separated by a retractable wall. When the wall is open for larger functions the combined event space is 6,000 ft², which is large enough to comfortably seat 300 guests. Each hall rental includes 15 round tables and 150 chairs. Allocation of tables and chairs will be based on the number of attendees. Renters are responsible for all setup, teardown, and cleaning of the center after each event.

The Broske Center is located at 400 Pitt Street, Platteville, WI 53818.

Costs: These fees are effective January 1, 2023- December 31, 2023

The Broske Center: fees are charged per day and are based on the number of expected attendees. The kitchen is included in all rentals.

Broske (East): Brodbeck Hall or Broske (West): Reeves Hall: fees are charged per day and are based on the number of expected attendees. The kitchen is included in all rentals.

Meeting Special: $50. A 2-hour time slot available Monday - Thursdays only.

Damage Deposit: $300 per Hall event, $500 per Center event. *Separate check from rental fee*

A separate check for the damage deposit postdated to the date of the event must be received by Recreation Staff. The deposit can be made when reserving the facility but must be received before the event date. The check will be returned or destroyed contingent on the Center being left in good condition.

For large community gatherings or musical events planned for the Center, renters are encouraged to present a short recap of the planned event under Citizen Comments during one of the bi-monthly Council Meetings. Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 PM. Meeting attendees are asked to notify the Council President that they wish to speak during Citizen Comments before the start of the meeting, and the Council President will call on them during that agenda item. This is a courtesy request only so that Council members and the general public can be made aware of potentially large and/or loud gatherings.
