New Platteville Fire Facility Project

Platteville Fire Facility Project Update - May 15, 2026
Construction on the new fire facility is moving along very well.  Interior finish work continues with work on cabinet installation, wood trim installation, and flooring.  Plumbing fixtures and appliances are being installed, and countertops are expected early to mid-June for installation.

On the exterior of the building, all soffits, fascia, and gutters have been installed and remaining exterior doors will be installed in the near future.  Curb and gutter around the site as well as sidewalks are being installed with parking lot paving to begin the week of May 18th.  The landscapers have begin installing base landscaping around the building and Owen’s Excavating will continue to work on site grading and work to complete the bio-retention pond.

A lot of exciting work is happening with the completed project in sight. We continue to be very pleased with the progress being made by Kraemer Brothers and anticipate the building being substantially completed by the end of August 2026 allowing the fire department to begin moving in August/ September 2026.  A ribbon cutting and open house are planned to occur on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
