Sheri Engelke extends appreciation to Compeer Financial, for their $15,000 contribution to the new Event Center.  Their support of the Legion Park Event Center will benefit Platteville for many years to come by providing a space to gather, celebrate, and build community.

Compeer Financial is making the gift though the cooperative’s Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America.

“Buildings like the Legion Park Event Center become a hub for the community, where people can gather and meet,” said Tammy Beard, who serves on the Fund Board of Trustees. “The Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America is proud to support community building projects like this, which support the rural communities, families and the clients and farmers we serve.”

Compeer Financial’s Board of Directors has dedicated one percent of annual net earnings to support the Fund’s focus areas of education, youth engagement, rural development and community enrichment, agricultural advocacy and development, and cooperative initiatives. The Fund is managed by a Board of Trustees, made up of team members from Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin and members of the Compeer Financial Board of Directors.

Ron Weier, a member of the finance committee was very appreciative of his former employer for making this generous donation to support the ag community in the Platteville area.
