“An $11,568 contribution from the Platteville Community Fund takes the Legion Park Event Center (LPEC) over $419,000," noted Sheri Engelke, LPEC Chair Person.

Nate Curry, PCF President, stated:  "Supporting and encouraging significant community improvements along with collaborative efforts is what we, at PCF, are all about.  We view this as a critical community need and are pleased to see community enterprises like the banks, SW Health and Woodward Printing/Shopping news demonstrating leadership in action.  We want to do our part and are pleased to share that we will be organizing and implementing the residential drive in the near future.”

Vince Graney, Fund Raising Chair, said: “We appreciate PCF’s contribution and leadership in the future residential drive.  And we are happy to report Platteville’s wonderful families continue to send checks.  Kristine Kalis ($1000); Doug and Janice Steinback ($5000); John and Carol Huehne ($1000); and Bob and Elizabeth Gates ($1000) are just a few of over 50 checks received recently.”

Donations of any size help whether it is $50, $20, $1500, $6,000 or more; all make a difference.   Every contributor’s name will be on the entrance kiosk so their great, great grandchildren can point to it with pride someday knowing their ancestors cared.  Those wishing to be a part of this effort may send checks to Inspiring Community, Inc. PO Box 503, Platteville, Wi 53818 and note “Event Center” on memo line.
