Brian Whisenant
District 4
Brian grew up in Colorado and North Carolina, graduating from NC State with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1987. Upon graduation he was commissioned in the Navy and earned his wings as a Naval Flight Officer. After completing eight years of military service he and his wife, Marie, moved to Ann Arbor, MI, in 1987 and he began his career in Project Management. In 2007, they moved to Platteville and Brian continued his project management career with AVISTA (now Belcan) and other technical companies. Brian and Marie have raised three children in Platteville and have been involved in community sports clubs and civic organizations, including Rotary. Brian served on the Parks & Rec committee and currently serves on the Airport Commission. He is honored to now serve on the Council and looks forward to helping Platteville continue being a great place to live and raise a family.
