Platteville, WI — The City of Platteville is pleased to announce the selection of Mark Rohloff of McMahon Associates, Inc. as the Interim City Manager following the resignation of City Manager Clint Langreck. His appointment also includes leading the recruitment process for the City’s next City Manager.

In the weeks following Langreck’s resignation, City staff and Council leadership explored options for contracted interim management and executive recruitment services. After interviewing three highly qualified firms—each offering strong credentials and experienced personnel—leadership chose to contract with McMahon Associates and Mr. Rohloff who will serve in the interim management role.

Mark Rohloff brings over 40 years of leadership in local government management, with experience spanning Wisconsin, California, and Colorado. He previously served as City Manager of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he led major strategic and financial initiatives, negotiated significant economic development projects, and secured key infrastructure improvement grants. His expertise includes strategic planning, finance and budgeting, public works and utilities oversight, personnel management, economic development, and intergovernmental relations.

A respected leader in his field, Mr. Rohloff has held positions with the Wisconsin City-County Management Association, the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, and League Mutual Insurance.  He has also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. His career includes management roles in communities ranging from 5,000 to 450,000 residents.

Council President Barb Daus noted, “By selecting McMahon Associates and Mr. Rohloff, the City of Platteville is embarking on a coordinated and cost-effective approach to interim management and executive recruitment.  We believe this synchronized approach will ensure continuity of operations while advancing the search for the community’s next long-term City Manager."

The City of Platteville welcomes Mark Rohloff and looks forward to working alongside him as he supports City staff, the Council, and the Platteville community during this transition.
