Kathy is a Platteville native, graduating from Platteville High School and then at attending UW-Platteville.  Her background is varied – having worked in the loan department of a bank, owning a retail clothing store and also co-owning an engineering company for over 16 years.  Kathy retired in 2020 from her position as Executive Director of the Platteville Regional Chamber after 27 years.  She was first elected to the City Council in 2020.  She serves on the City’s Tourism Committee, Police & Fire Commission, Commission on Aging and Grant County Economic Development Corporation.

She was elected to the Grant County Board of Supervisors in April of 2021 and re-elected in 2023, representing District 12 (City of Platteville).  As a Board Supervisor, she is a member of the Ag/Resource/Fair Board, ADRC, Grant County Economic Development, Tourism and Resource Committee and Chairs the Law Enforcement/Emergency Management Committee. 

Kathy is involved in a number of organizations: Platteville Kiwanis, Platteville Quota Club, Platteville Optimists Club, board member of the Platteville Thrift Shop, 4th of July Committee, Building Platteville, Inc., the Platteville Veterans Honor Roll, Platteville’s Historic Re-enactment Committee, and is a volunteer at Katie’s Garden.

Kathy and her husband, Joe, have four children and 10 grandchildren. Her hobbies are gardening, photography and long-Sunday drives.
