At-Large

Lynne Parrott is a native of Chicago, Illinois where she was a Youth Pastor, a playwright, and a community organizer. Her family became residents of Platteville in the spring of 2017.  By the summer of 2017, Lynne was hosting Bible studies from her home which opened a door for her to become Pastor Lynne of Bread of Life Church. That opportunity afforded Lynne the chance to engage in the community. Lynne was invited to be a Board Member with Family Advocates in 2018 and began to understand her purpose for the relocation. Lynne loves being an advocate for those who feel they have no voice. She wants to help unlock the potential of others by building more bridges and closing gaps. Lynne loves empowering others and be a change influencer. Pursing a seat on the Common Council was the step Lynne knew she had to make if she wanted to be a more effective advocate. Her goal, as a member of the Council, is to help create protocol and policies on the issue of diversity and inclusion throughout Platteville.
