Platteville Announces City Manager Finalists

PLATTEVILLE, WI (February 25, 2026) – The City of Platteville Common Council recently met to review applicants for the City Manager position. Following that discussion, four candidates have been selected as finalists and will be invited to participate in a two-day, in-person interview process. The finalists are Brian Wilson, Caz Muske, Joshua Boldt, and Chad Abram.

Interviews are scheduled for March 11-12. Community members are warmly invited to meet the finalists at a public Meet & Greet on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Broske Center, 400 Pitt Street, Platteville.

Council President Barbara Daus noted, “We are pleased with the quality of the candidates, both in terms of their experience as well as their diverse skill sets.  The Council is excited to meet with these individuals and hear about their vision for the City of Platteville.  I encourage the public to attend the Meet & Greet on March 11 to meet these people directly.”

About The Finalists

Brian Wilson
Brian Wilson was most recently the City Administrator for Delavan, Wisconsin, a position he held from 2021 to 2025. He currently serves as the interim Clerk-Treasurer for the Village of Cambridge, Wisconsin. He has 25 years of experience in local government and has previously served as Village Administrator for Belleville, Wisconsin, Town Administrator for the Town of Beloit, and City Administrator of Milan, Missouri. He also served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve. Mr. Wilson has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Administration from Southeast Missouri State University. He also holds a Credentialed Manager (CM) certification from the International City-County Management Association (ICMA).

Caz Muske
Caz Muske is currently the City Administrator of Clintonville, Wisconsin, and has served in that position since 2021. Prior to that, she was Clintonville‘s Deputy City Administrator and Public Works Director. She has a 10-year career in local government, serving as a Main Street Program Director, a Marketing Director, and a Parks and Media Coordinator for several cities in Texas. She began her career in local government as an executive assistant to the Police Chief of Hewitt, TX. Ms. Muske has a bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a graduate certificate in public budgeting and financial management from Pennsylvania State University. She serves in leadership positions with the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Mutual Insurance, the Wisconsin chapter of the Governmental Finance Officers Association (WGFOA) and is President of the board of the Waupaca County Economic Development Corporation.

Joshua Boldt
Joshua Bolt is currently the City Manager–Clerk of Maquoketa, IA, a position he has held since 2022. Prior to that, he was the assistant city manager of DeKalb, Illinois. He began his 15-year career in local government as a police officer in DeKalb. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in business from Northern Illinois University (NIU), and also has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with an emphasis in local government management from NIU. He was the recipient of the Emerging Leader award from the Iowa chapter of the International City-County Management Association (ICMA) in 2024. He originally hails from the Galena area in Northwestern Illinois.

Chad Abram
Chad Abram has a 25-year career in local government and is currently the City Administrator of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, a position he has held since 2019. He had served as their interim city administrator for two years prior to taking the position full-time. He also served as Police Chief of Prairie du Chien from 2010 to 2019 and has been with the Prairie du Chien Police Department since 2000, advancing in the organization from patrol officer to school resource officer and detective, before becoming a sergeant. He also served in the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department prior to going to Prairie du Chien. Mr. Abram holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with an emphasis in criminal justice from the University of Minnesota.
