Calendar Date:
Wednesday, April 29, 2026 - 2:00pm to 6:00pm

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) invites community members to a soilSHOP event focused on soil safety and healthy gardening practices. Attendees are encouraged to bring soil samples for real-time lead and arsenic screening and interpretation.

Participants will learn about heavy metals in soil, ways to reduce exposure, and strategies for safer gardening. DHS health professionals will be available to answer questions and provide health-based education related to soil screening results. This is a walk-in, educational event designed to help community members better understand their environment.

Presented by staff from the DHS Site Evaluation Program. Soil screening results are for educational purposes only.

Registration is not required for this event. Drop in at any time and stay for as long as you'd like.
