Platteville to Celebrate New Fire Facility with Community Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

PLATTEVILLE, WI (September 18, 2026) –Platteville will celebrate a major milestone in public safety with the official ribbon cutting of the new Fire Facility that will serve the Platteville Fire District on Monday, October 5, at 4:00 p.m. The community is invited to join local leaders, firefighters, project partners and residents at 100 W. Adams Street to celebrate the opening of this important new facility.

The new fire facility is a significant investment in the future of Platteville region and provides firefighters with modern equipment and apparatus space, improved training and operational areas, and dedicated decontamination space. These enhancements will better support firefighters in their work and strengthen the Fire Department’s ability to respond to emergencies and protect residents for years to come.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests are invited to tour the facility, meet local firefighters, explore fire apparatus and equipment, and learn more about the services provided by the Department.

The project reflects the dedication and collaboration of local leaders, project partners, firefighters and community members who helped make the new facility possible. The City of Platteville is grateful to everyone who contributed to this important investment in the community’s future.
