Transportation Update: May 25, 2021

BUS:

Fares for the Platteville Public Bus will be reinstated starting July 1, 2021.

These fares are: UW-Platteville Students ride for free by showing their student ID. All other rides are $1 per ride or $25/month for an unlimited ride pass. Riders may purchase two months and get the third free.

TAXI:

The Platteville Transit Taxi Service will return to "Shared Ride" on June 1, 2021.

Shared Rides will be organized by the taxi service. If two people call a cab to pick them up from different locations to drop them off at the same location the cab will pick up the first rider, then pick up the second rider before going to the single destination while both passengers “share” the cab.

Accommodations will be made for passengers who do not wish to share a ride, but please expect longer wait times.

Regular Fares will be reinstated starting on July 1, 2021.

Fares within City Limits:

$2.75 for regular passengers
$2.50 for seniors over the age of 65, handicapped persons, and children of high school age or below.
$1.00 for additional riders to the same location within the City Limits.

Fares outside of the City Limits:

$2.00 per mile above and beyond the appropriate base rate.
Rides must either begin or end within the City Limits

**Fares for intermediate stops (ATM, etc.) will be $1.00 per stop.**
