Splash Into Summer: Platteville Family Aquatic Center Ribbon Cutting Celebration
PLATTEVILLE, WI — The City of Platteville, Platteville Pool Fundraising Committee, and Inspiring Community, Inc. are thrilled to invite the entire community to celebrate the grand opening of the Platteville Family Aquatic Center with a community-wide ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 16th from 4:00–7:00 PM. (Rain Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2026).
This free, family-friendly event marks an exciting milestone for Platteville, offering residents the chance to explore the new facility and kick off the summer season in style. Admission is free for all attendees, and community members will have the opportunity to sign up for annual passes on-site.
The celebration will feature sweet treats courtesy of Vesperman's Ice Cream Truck, with up to 200 free scoops generously sponsored by Bob Hundhausen-Edward Jones. The Platteville Optimist Club will also be on hand serving complimentary hot dogs for guests of all ages.
