City Assessor Associated Appraisal conducting fieldwork
The City of Platteville has contracted with Associated Appraisal Consultants (AAC) to serve as the City Assessor beginning in 2026. AAC staff will begin conducting fieldwork throughout the city this week. They will be driving fleet vehicles clearly displaying the AAC logo and will carry photo ID badges while working in neighborhoods. An example of the AAC logo and a marked vehicle will be included with this post so residents know what to look for.
The purpose of this fieldwork is to update assessment records based on 2025 home sales and building permits. Because of last year’s hailstorm, many properties had permits issued for exterior repairs. In most cases, re-roofing will not affect a home’s assessed value. For siding or window replacements, the assessor will review each property to determine whether the work affects the market value of the home.
Property owners will be notified by mail if there are any changes to their assessed values.
Beginning April 1, property owners will be able to view their assessed values at apraz.com. If you would like to know your assessed value before April 1, you may contact Associated Appraisal Consultants directly by emailing info@apraz.com or calling 920-749-1995.
